You will learn to do paper piecing and English paper piecing. You will learn to press your quilt as you go to make quilting easier and more accurate.

	Month 2: Rail Fence: Learn strip piecing which can be used in many ways to speed up quiltmaking.
	Month 3: Nine Patch: Learn to iron to make matching corners easier. This alone will make your quilts look more professional
	Month 4: Bright Hopes: Learn to make set in seams using a technique that will make you wonder why it seemed difficult at first.
	Month 5: Variable Star: Learn to use triangles in your quilts. I will teach you how to make those tricky triangle corners meet up just right.
	Month 6: Grandmother's Flower Garden: Learn to do English paper piecing. This charming, old fashioned technique is new again, and you will be able to do it.

	Month 7: Baseball: Seams with curves can be intimidating, but you will learn to make them on your sewing machine.
	Month 8: Mosaic: Points that meet in the center are daunting, but possible when you know how. The trick is in the ironing.
	Month 9: Sunbonnet Sue: Easy appliqué with fusible webbing. This is the modern technique that gets finished quickly.
	Month 10: Appliqué Hearts: Traditional appliqué done by hand will always have a place in quilting. You can learn to do it just like the professionals.
	Month 11: Striped Hearts: Paper foundation piecing is a modern technique that is fun to do. This challenging skill will be yours to do once you learn the basics.
	Month 12: Appliqué Flowers: Sewing bias strips to make stems. You will learn to make your own bias tape, saving you loads of money.
Month 13: Finish the top with sashes and mitered corners.
